LaFitte’s Hideout is located in Port Aransas, Texas, on beautiful Mustang Island. The resort is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Corpus Christi and roughly three hours from San Antonio. We are situated on a secluded seven acres, deep in the heart of the island, a walk or a golf cart ride away from all that Port Aransas has to offer. At LaFitte’s, you are within walking distance to great restaurants, nightlife, and a short golf cart ride to the beach.
Named after the real pirate/smuggler James LaFitte, LaFitte’s Hideout RV Resort is on seven acres in Port Aransas and nestled on the secluded Mustang Island. It’s located about 30 minutes from downtown Corpus Christi, and about three hours from San Antonio and is considered by many as the “Best RV Resort” on the island.

You can enjoy walking, sunbathing, or simply lounging on 6.3 stretching miles of pristine sand, blue waters, and ocean breezes on Port Aransas Beach. Not enough? Visit a pirate ship, see dolphins jumping through the waves or just take in the beauty this jewel of Texas has to offer.

Looking for a great bar for after-dinner cocktails or lively watering holes for music and a cold brewski? Port A offers many. Wildlife Viewing
Port A’s various nature preserves offer hiking and bike trails, boardwalks, and wildlife areas to see. Learn about sea turtles and marine birds at the Animal Rehabilitation Keep. Did you know hundreds of species of birds and even more migrants can be observed on the Great Texas Birding Trail, Mustang Island? Don’t miss the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center either, a great venue to spend hours getting up close and personal with nature.
